iPhone photo of my glowing red curtains
With winter in full force I quickly sewed up a set of red velvet drapes for my bedroom. They’re lush and gorgeous, but since I didn’t line them (I was being lazy and wanted them done FAST) they make my room glow crimson when it’s sunny out!
I’m pretty sure they’ve helped warm up my room just a little bit, keeping out the cold.
But isn’t the winter beautiful!?

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 38,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 14 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Watercolour northern lights painting by one of my favourite watercolour artists 🙂
I showed off a few of my own paintings, but I thought I’d share a painting I received as a gift for the holidays!
It’s a watercolour painting of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) by one of my favourite watercolour artists!
