Last year I shared with you some of the other Grandmother’s fabric sales in Alberta (they happen across Canada, but for my interest, I just focus on Alberta… I won’t be traveling to Guelph any time soon!)
Consider this your heads-up for another event this year!
If you’re a crafter, sewer, or costumer in Medicine Hat, the sale takes place on March 7th, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Check out the link here: http://www.grandmotherscampaign.org/event/hat-grannies-fabric-sale?instance_id=1645 There isn’t a date for donations, but usually they like them a few days in advance. Telephone information for donations is included in the link. The sale (and likely drop-off point) takes place at a church located at 504 2 Street SE
If you have fabric, yarn, or notions (no patterns please) to donate in Edmonton, the drop off days are Tuesday and Thursday in advance of the sale itself, between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. at the Strathearn United Church (8510 95 Ave) and the sale will follow on April 11th between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. More information is here http://edmgrandmothers.org/wp-content/uploads/Fabric-Sale-poster-2015-FINAL.pdf
If you want to donate in Calgary, they’ll be accepting donations April 15 & 16, 2015 at the Woodcliff United Church (5010 Spruce Drive SW) and the sale itself will take place on April 17th & 18th. Get the full scoop here: http://www.ujamaagrandmas.com/
For costumers, knitters, crafters, and sewers in Red Deer, you get a sale too! The sale happens on April 18th from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Gaetz United Church, and if you want to donate fabric, yarn, notions (etc) you can get the full scoop here: http://www.grammalink.org/
Oh.. ok.. here you go Guelph
Here’s the event link for the sale in Guelph – not until October 3rd though, so you have lots of time to raid your stash to figure out what to donate. http://www.grandmotherscampaign.org/event/guleph-4gs-fabulous-fabric-and-fibre-frenzy-sale?instance_id=1655
If you know of any other fabric sales like this, which raise money for the Stephen Lewis Foundation, Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign, please let me know in the comments below! If you can include a link, dates, etc.. all the better!
