The non-competing displays at Silver Arrow

In April I attended Silver Arrow, an event in the SCA shire of Bitter End (mundanely Red Deer) and helped their Arts & Science (A&S) coordinator to promote a small competition. It wasn’t for a championship; just a low-key challenge with four themes – finished projects and unfinished projects based around either archery or Paris (the theme of the event).

There were also non-competing projects on display – a pocket, kitted purses using hand-spun yarn, and I put my French Hoods (one complete, one a work in progress) on display as well.

The competing projects included a research paper, an embroidered item, a garment, and an original musical composition.

This is the event that we made those decorated notebooks for too! You can see some of them on display on the table.
