It’s been a really long time since I did a Beauty Blog post, but I figured I’d do a quick run down for my first ColourPop order.

Back around December/January I was seeing a lot of ads for ColourPop, and they were having a pretty nice sale – so I put out the call on my socials to see if anyone I knew had ever bought from them – and… crickets.

Either my post didn’t get seen (thanks algorithm), or no one I knew had ordered from them to give feedback.  In early June, they had another similar sale (not quite as good, but pretty good all the same…) so I figured I’d take the plunge and check it out. Continue reading

I very rarely blog about beauty products… but I’ve been on a minor beauty bender lately, and thought I’d blog about it…

One of my friends mentioned fairly recently that she’s pretty much obsessed with Lime Crime cosmetics (which don’t have much of a retail space here in Calgary) but I hesitated to consider ordering anything sight-unseen… until I found a few different Lime Crime products at Winners.

While making the beard balm and beard oil lately, I figured I’d make up a few tubes of lip balm while I was at it.. (since the bases use many of the same ingredients).

I bought a dozen lip balm containers from a local supplier (I’ve heard they’re seriously overpriced though, so I’m not going to link them here… if I want to do this again and it’s NOT on a whim or tight deadline, I’ll likely order them online or find a more affordable supplier) so I didn’t want to make a LOT… just enough to fill up the containers I had.
