In my last post, I shared the day suits, and in previous posts I’ve shared evening gowns and day dresses. In this post I’ll just share some of the bits and bobs that didn’t really fit into other posts to sort of wrap up the display.

Dior – Day suits
The Dior display at the Glenbow Museum had four main areas – evening gowns, day dresses, day suits, and then other merchandise like cosmetics, perfume, etc… I found the day suits the least inspiring, and was curious why they would be displayed so that they were the first thing that I’d be looking at.
Dior – Isabelle
One of my absolute favourite gowns from the Dior display at the Glenbow Museum was Isabelle, a pinstriped black and grey gown with a huge pink cumberbund and bow.
Dior – Soiree romantique
I wasn’t sure if I liked Soiree Romantique – a ribbon covered dress or not, but I decided to take photos of it all the same… It’s from the Fall/Winter 1955 collection.
Dior – Audacieuse
Another of the dresses I really liked from the Dior exhibit at the Glenbow Museum was Audacieuse – a four-piece day-dress from the spring/summer 1955 “A” line. The outfit includes a corset petticoat combination, skirt, and two tops. Continue reading
