RAM Vikings – Valkyries
Two years ago in May 2019 my mum and I took a trip to Edmonton to visit the Royal Alberta Museum (RAM) specifically to see the touring Viking Exhibit from Denmark. It’s taken me some time to get through the photos (and remember to post) but over the next while I’ll share some of the highlights from the exhibit, hopefully to help any other reenactors or costumers get inspired for their own future projects!

RAM Vikings – Völva
Super quick post today from the 2019 Viking exhibit at the Royal Albert Museum (RAM) – because there really was only one artifact to show!
This iron staff with a handle was found in Fuldby, Zealand, Denmark, and has been attributed as a Völva’s staff.

Today’s Royal Alberta Museum (RAM) exhibit items are all things that have ordinary uses, but are all decorated with different elements.
Like the Bone tools display, I found it difficult to categorize this display – and the only common element was that they seemed to be common items with decorative elements.
