I have been using the same waste bin in my room for ages, and considered painting it – however then at the dollar store I found a new one that is perfect (smooth, black, and the right size) so it was an easy decision to move my old one into my craft room in the basement, and adopt the new one into my room.

Of course… since I’m eschewing minimalism entirely in my room and going full gothic maximalist instead – I needed to decorate the black bin!

I chose a tentacle design that I originally developed for another project, and got some blue holographic Cricuit permanent vinyl from Michaels to make a creepy-cute bin instead!

Back when the maker studio was open, I started a few different projects that I ended up putting aside when the pandemic shut everything down. I ended up filing a bunch of them away, but during spring cleaning came across one of them – this cute paper shade for an electric candle.
